Founder’s Note

Our founder, Rachael, started TasteRich in a small kitchen in Ukraine—not from abundance, but from necessity. As a Ghanaian student far from home, she had no winter boots, no income, and barely enough to eat. So she turned to the one skill she could rely on: cooking.


She began preparing pastries and meals for fellow students—Africans and Europeans—crafting recipes that blended cultures and sparked joy. She called her venture “TasteRich” because every dish had to be rich in flavour, no matter where the inspiration came from.


In time, she developed the first jars of what is now TasteRich Black Chilli Sauce—made from scratch, carefully packaged by hand, and even carried with her while escaping a war zone.


Today, TasteRich is more than a food brand. It is a story of resilience and impact—transforming hardship into hope, and food into something that nourishes more than just hunger.

We launched with five bold flavours of Black Chilli Sauce—Mild, Hot, Extra Hot, Extra Extra Hot and inferno—in jars and dip pots. But TasteRich is just getting started.

In the future, we’ll expand into new food products, partner with like-minded makers, and build a foundation to support the causes closest to our heart.
